Robert Herdman-Smith. "Sussex Scene" Watercolour.

Undated watercolour. "Sussex Scene" signed lower right. Painting is in excellent condition. Frame has some bumps but is solid. Robert Herdman-Smith, English born (1872) came to NZ to teach at the Wellington Technical College from 1902. He was the examiner for the Department of Education from 1904 & the Director of the Canterbury School of Art from 1905.
